Prayer in the storm

My prayers, mind, and heart are with the victims of the storm system of 300 miles of destruction in which over 130 tornadoes took lives, homes, businesses, and entire towns. This is one of the worst storm systems in the history of the United States of America.

Lord, be the refuge and strength for all the people involved.

My prayers are with a special person I know who reads this blog. Their family was involved in these storms. (I’m not putting names in an effort to uphold confidentiality for them and their family.)

Lord, comfort everyone involved. Wrap them in Your wings, place them in the cleft of the mountain and in a safe place. Hold them near. Guide them as they have to make decisions and be their way.

God bless everyone involved in these storms.

CCWC information

By the way, I am preparing to go to a writing conference back in my home state of Colorado. It’s the CCWC (Colorado Christian Writing Conference) and is put on by: http://www.writehisanswer.com

Therefore, I will be gone the second and third weeks in May as I go to the conference and as I go home for a few days. I will be a little quiet during that time.

As I prepare for the writing conference, I am trying to prepare advertising material, am refining my writing vision, and am trying to get 33,000 words written on a novel I started earlier this week. It’s of the A Life of Seasons Series and is called, “Summer, Faith, Journaling, and Madison.”

I bet you can guess, that the August/September timeframe is still in effect—except regarding information for that conference.

I will write more information about the CCWC in the days to come. Check out this blog for more information.

August/September

This blog will really begin in August and September 2011.

I will do blog posts between now and then, but wait until then and it will really start. Since we’re moving at the end of June, and across the country nonetheless, there’s a great deal that needs to be done around my house.

Check out the pj4life1 blog below. That’s my main blog. The other blog I will devote a bulk of my attention to is the A Life of Seasons blog listed below as well. I am working on writing the 1st biblical fiction book of that series.

The Purpose of This Blog

This blog is for writers—those who have made it, those who are trying to make it, and those who dream of even trying to make it in this crazy world of writing fiction and writing novels.

The purpose of this blog is for us to connect as writers, to talk about the craft, to talk about our secrets of the trade, where we get our inspiration, and the writing process. We may be writers, or aspiring writers, but we all have lives apart from writing. This blog is about keeping the balance and not allowing writing to consume you while you try to be a spouse, a parent, a family member, and friend.

Also, how do you do all of this and give God the glory is another component of this blog.

Stay tuned. There will be more to come tomorrow.
